Frontline Soldiers: The 29 Intercessory team
What is the Frontline?
As Christians we have to be aware that we are fighting a constant battle. This is not a physical battle but a spiritual one. The Bible tells us that we wrestle against principalities and powers, rulers of the darkness of this age and spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Eph 6 v12)
Therefore we are engaged in a spiritual war that we fight with spiritual weapons. The main form of battle is through prayer. Every time we enter into spiritual warfare, we enter the front line.
Are you a Frontline Soldier?
If you are reading this it means you are an honourable and privileged soldier. Honourable because I believe that the role of an intercessor is very much a background role and many do not notice it. However, the role of an intercessor is powerful and not to be undermined. After all, they are on the frontline providing spiritual aid and cover for those they are praying for. You are privileged because this is going to be an elite group that will be dedicated to praying for 29th Chapter and putting power into the group.
Over the last few months, the 29th Chapter have been realising that, as a ministry that is upfront and in the limelight, we need men and women who will commit themselves to covering us on the spiritual frontline.
So are you a Frontline Soldier? In order to be a part of this we want to know that you have the qualities needed to be a part of this elite taskforce. Your job would be to intercede for the 29th Chapter as we endeavour to win souls and carry out our ministry. We need people that will commit a regular amount of time to praying for us. They need to be people who already have a heart for intercessory prayer. This is not to say that nobody else can pray for us, we simply need a core, committed group who will intercede on our behalf with an understanding of real intercession. So is this for you? I hope so.
The truth is we need you. We cannot continue this ministry without a prayer covering. If you choose to take this up, you are sowing into whatever God does through us and we'll pray that God gives you a portion of our blessing. If you cannot commit for whatever reason we will totally understand, please do not feel in any way obligated. You can always sign up to join the 29 Campsite Soldiers.
How will you be involved?
If you are willing to be a 29 Frontline Soldier, you will receive regular correspondence from us. This will either be through e-mail or post and there will be prayer needs from each individual member of the crew, corporate prayer requests, the crew's itinerary as far as we know and any other info you may need to know. We also have a private section on our website that you will be able to access and view any prayer needs. We may even send texts for any urgent requests. You will also be able to e-mail us directly or via the website if the Lord gives you a word or a vision or anything you want to share with us. Or you could do the good old-fashioned thing and call or write to us.
We would ask that you set aside some time to pray specifically for us. Even doing spiritual warfare if need be. We would also ask that when you commit, that you let us know what time you will actually spend in prayer for us. This is not so we can check up on you but purely so that we have a record that trustworthy people are praying regularly on our behalf.
Having read all of this, I trust that you will seek God about this position as a Frontline Soldier and that when you feel right to do so you will let us know. If you decide to take up this position, we would ask that you fill in the reply slip below stating the time that you are prepared to commit to praying for us. The least we ask is twice a month.
