29th Chapter

Following the huge success of their last two releases The 29th Chapter are excited to be back in the studio preparing their next album, and they guys are promising big things. Mr Prince from 29th Chapter reflects on the journey so far...

"It's a big and exciting step for us, it feels like there's a lot of anticipation from our fans and supporters and we are excited about rising to the challenge, our last album 'Louder' signed with Fierce! Records has done really well, the first run sold out within a few weeks of release, it was kinda crazy, we were at a festival and didn't have any of our own CD's to sell... better that than the other way around I guess. I think a lot of our fans were refreshingly surprised at the evolution in our sound, figures and feedback pretty much clarify that people were feeling the change though.

We then went on to release our first ever single to the mainstream market under our own label TwoNine Records, although we hoped for great things we never realised it would achieve so much and move us so far forward in our journey. In the week of it's release the single made No.9 on the itunes Hiphop Chart and No.23 on the Itunes main chart, it was No.8 on Amazon, and most excitingly No.19 on the BBC indie charts. The song was in the top 40 of the UK club charts for 6 weeks and hit a high of No.6

Within 3 weeks of the release of the single I was getting calls from international labels and distributors and not long after that found myself sitting in the office of one of the head A&R guys at Mercury Records looking at platinum plaques for U2 and Pixxie Lott, it was crazy!

After taking some time out to think through options (and take a bit of paternity leave) we are excited to get back in the studio to work on our next project. We have got some exciting new partnerships forming and are already getting a lot of interest for the project. Our greatest hope is that we can produce something that our fans will enjoy whilst staying true to our passion to make music that breaths hope and truth to inspire a generation to greatness!”
