Underdogz Lyrics

Underdogz

Written by: D.Plumb, K.McGlade, J.Morson, P.Laryea

McGladius:
I am the voice of one crying out in the desert “Make straight the ways of the Lord”
McGladius my name, my weapon the sword
Here I stand; I’m drawing a line in the sand
Part of the eternal clan, that’s held up by his hand
I charge into this world’s court, remain relevant
The truths in my heart my life its tangible evidence
So I can stand up/ in a court of flaw
So I can stand up/ broken but not fall
An emcee with baggy jeans and baggy dreams
And numerous schemes, bursting out of his seams
To write the pages of the unwritten story
Refuse to follow suit, plagiarise or mimic glory
Not here to fall in line, but to rearrange
They say need is the best preparation for change
And they’ll try and downplay us more than the colour grey
But the darkness of night can’t hide from the light of the day

Chrous

(Repeat)
Come on all my Underdogz help me raise the roof
Can I get a ‘La La La’, can I get a ‘Woof’

Mr Prince:
(Intro over chorus) “Oh no they done let me go!”
I’ve been held up, held back, told that I'm no good
I’ve been undervalued, overlooked, misunderstood
I’ve been booed, bitten, shouted at, thrown off stage
I’ve felt the hurt and pain inside done nearly turn to rage
I’ve been rejected, disrespected, told I was smoking crack
I’ve felt the pain in my chest, cause I got stabbed in my back
I’ve sent demos, press releases, mix tapes and the like
Rapped in ciphers, talent shows, all up in open mics
I've had my set cut so some rock band could play they music
I loose it cause they abuse it, I wanna grip mics an prove it
It true, ain’t nothing to it and no one do it like we do it,
It’s been a while, but don’t worry we about to get up into it
But despite the hardship, struggles trials and test
I hold strong to the faith it’s like a bullet proof vest
I stay focuses like Minolta, you can’t hold me back
My style is changing landscapes and redefining the map
Come on!

Chorus

Navigator:
Yep we’re the type of guys who write rhymes for lives
Left our nine to fives to bring God’s light to eyes
If not for Jesus we’d be dashed from pillar to post
With empty promises that nearly ended up killing our hopes
Listen folks we’ve been rapping since fades and high tops
When it was cool to wear black trousers and white socks
God had to fix up character, search us like Lycos
While we got bypassed for crews with less vision than Cyclops

Phonetix:
The way I spit when I pit rap flips rap flat on its back
Like I said before I’m an underdog not yet on the map,
But don’t watch that, I’m coming strong so I tip my hat,
Grab the mic bro and bark whilst these other cats yap
They rap chiwawas, so many of them up in my dome
It’s like attack of the clones they boring me sounding like drones
Meanwhile my visions in zone chasing a bone thrown by the master
(You know) we the cyclone underdogz bringing it home
Chorus

For the One (Featuring Sammy G)

Written by: J.Morson, D.Plumb, S. Gunnell

Chorus:
This is for the one, who lies in on a Sunday
Rave so hard miss work on a Monday
For the thug whose living life grungy
Beef on the street but he thinks life’s lovely.

For the chick whose chasing her dreams
Never happy with her face or waist in the jeans
For the ghetto chick blazing the green
For the mothers with kids at the age of eighteen.

Navigator:
Young thug, hold up, I’ll address the issue
I ain’t hear to battle or rattle your cage or dis you
But you know when I grab the mic to spit dude
I WILL spit flames and they may just lick you
I may just hit you right where it hurts
Cos the light exposes a life full of dirt
You might be a flirt and hit with the chicks
But God sees you stare at her butt licking your lips
You need to fix up quickly
So what? Your 306 is nifty
I don’t care what brae’s are shifty
Stop fighting, warfare is sickly
Don’t wanna see you spreading your beef
Heart heavy, weighed down like lead in your feet
God loves you man you can head for relief
Or be another bluh bluh bluh, dead in the street.

Chorus

Sammy G:
This is for the yout who knows about lyrics, writes two pages in fifteen minutes/
Bear gimmicks, none of its tight he just mimic’s/
Other rappers straight down to the image/
Never seen a gun still he says that he buss one/
Diamond encrustin’ his rhymes when he spits them bars/
Says “I’ve come from ghetto, life used to be hard”/
But there aint nothin’ ghetto about his mum’s yard!/
She pays the Bills, his inputs minimal/
You can’t have a Bentley without a provisional/
Seriously, why so many toots wanna be criminals?/
Aint nothin’ pretty bout prison, really!/
Clearly they don’t see what keepin’ it real is/
Pear kids wanna live reckless and fearless/
Hear this, for real it’s not what life’s like/
Why not represent Christ and live life Christ like?

Chorus

Phonetix
This one’s for the rude boys sitting in the back of a Nova
Every 10 minutes and you’re getting pulled over
White middle class but you talk like a Rasta
Rolling on hubcaps your mom bought from Asda
Smoke weed and you say you’re a dealer
Buy all your stuff from a homeless geezer
Sell a little bit to your friend for a reefer
Saving up your cash for a trip to Ibiza
You’ve got a camera phone you like to show
Can’t afford a contract though you’re on pay as you go
Filmed a beating so you think you’re the man
But you’re so stupid you happy slapped your own Nan
Please bro I think its time you grew up
Before the crown court labels you another screw up
Bring the best raps your filthy little mind can stew up
(Yeah) I bring the gospel and merk your whole crew up

Chorus

Lose Control

Written by: The 29th Chapter, G.Mhondera, O.Mhondera, A.Lynch, A.Camgedye

CHROUS:
Ladies wanna ride with us, fellas wanna roll
We split rip the script and we take control
Get you on the dance floor you loose control
It’s the 29 Family you know how we do

Navigator:
Rock mics get 'em hype see them lives changed
Bring hope to some folk’s give’em high aims
Gospel hip-hop double blows like a bi-plane
Underdogz bring it hot like fire flame
On the rise now, won’t be stopped bro
Got the Gospel plus a hot show
Turn us up, Yo! Cos the crews back
Got everyone in your family saying ‘Who’s that?’

McGladius:
Equipped with a wit and untamed passion
Dish verbal licks not here just to cash in
Lips get busy fronting’ and trashing’
Straight for the heart distract from the fashion
Leave the embarrassed like, when objects phallic, my
Rhymes are so active that my acids lactic, Ya
Just gotta get in line, we bring this straight 2-9
You know its our and time so just throw up them 2-9 signs

Chorus

Mr Prince:
Put your drinks down
Turn that base up
Camera action, we about to tear the whole place up
Who you came with
You’ll be leaving with us
Before you leave sign your name on that mailing list trust
Hit the dance floor, Bring your friends too,
Underdogs in the place you know how we do
Looking real good, got that flow tight,
Better cop the album straight after the show alright!.
Never gonna stop, never gonna step back
Been a few years and we faced a couple of set backs
Cried a few tears God told us never forget that
We’re called to reach souls with this music bruv respect that
And let that marinate in your soul,
Two nine in the building and we taking control
Your looking fine in the building and were feeling your flow
Another hit from underdogs, how the chorus go.

Chorus

Phonetix:
I rock mics on the regular my lyrics so nebular
Precipitating power upon the tracks from every angular
I’m like leather cause I’m tough but I look good
Like the weather - burn up hoods like the sun should
Cuando salgo rapiando tu sabes como lo traigo
Junto con mi familia oh! Oh!
If you don’t know my flow flow is just so tremendo
I flip yo and grip you all up like the po po
Spit passionate but still I’m distinguished
That’s what you get when you mix Latino and English
Inject sounds from uptown to underground
We bring the antidote like chemists and compounds
I Pack a punch on the mic man eat beats for lunch
Devastating verses working you out like stomach crunches
My hunch is this groove has got you grouped like bunches
Smoke the track and leave you with the 29 munchies

Chorus

Who Am I? Part 1

Written by: J.Morson, D.Plumb

Navigator
To film critics, The Passion of the Christ was nearly accurate
My conception in Mary was immaculate
As was the plan that I conceived within myself
To relieve you from yourself, you’re greedy with your wealth
You should be careful when you’re mentioning my name
Curse it when you’re in pain yet its strength to heal the lame
I laugh at your threats, crush marks of defiance
I’m pointed to in every particle of science.
But some of you miss it, you refuse to ask me
The biggest in the universe but you choose to look right past me
I never need to prove myself to dust and vapour
I gave you a mouth, which you use to cuss your maker
You’ll know my love if it be sooner or later
You kill lust and steal and I’m accused of being the hater?
I am the Lord so confess before your passing
When you approach me there’s only one question you’ll be asking.

Is It A Crime?

Written by: D.Plumb, K.McGlade, J.Morson

Chorus

Is it a crime for me to walk these streets?
Dressed in these clothes and feeling these beats?
Must you presume criminal things of me?
Because the outside appearance is all you can see? (Open your eyes!)
And is it wrong for me to enter God’s house
With my cap and baggy jeans looking gangsta’d out?
Must you presume criminal things of me?
Because the outside appearance is all you can see? (Open your eyes!)

Navigator
Young, black and wear baggy jeans so automatically
In the eyes of many I come under scrutiny
All you can see is the outside appearance
So it’s natural that the average man on a dark night would fear us
That’s cool, I’m not offended, don’t feel apprehended
‘Cause eventually my character will no doubt be manifested
I refuse to be labelled by outside apparel
I could wear rags but my spiritual man is outlined for battle
Walk with a royal mindset; I’m the son of a King
When King returns these men in jeans will be governing
Running things, cos what we believe in is the truth
That’s why we’re more integral than 100 men in business suits
You will see that Jesus lives in me, this temple’s clean
Stay obedient to The Father’s will and live out my destiny
If what I’m wearing limits your view then that’s too bad
While I pray for the sick in baseball top and du-rag.

Chorus

McGladius
In men’s hearts are hidden things we would weep to see
The innermost desire is to know what it means to be free
Your climbing a tree, that’s roots are severed and dieing
How long will it be till you tire out and stop trying?
True strength is found in accepting that we’re weak
It’s getting on our knees and washing our brothers feet
What I’m spitting is like hearing a foreign language
Translated it has the power to cease the grips of anguish
Shame is a liar; he’d have us hide our face in the ground
God whispers ‘beauty is found in the midst of breakdown’
Can we brave the storms, let go of our pasts?
The only face that God will remove is the mask
And step-by-step we can re-build and transcend
Not with bricks and mortar, but with the hearts of men
See this world-changed cause we’ve achieved solidarity
As confusion subsides, our new identity brings clarity

Chorus

Phonetix:
They say that beauty is I the eyes of the beholder
But most of the beholders are busy looking over their shoulders
And beauty is slowly leaving this world
And love turns to hate and selfishness unfurls
And now it’s a crime for me to speak my faith
Government saying I’m out there inciting religious hate
The same government that says they’re trying to free us
Are actively inciting the UK to hate Jesus.
And for real the church isn’t doing much better
Instead of getting hands dirty they sit and write letters
Too self-obsessed with what’s going on in the church
To notice the anguish outside the doors of the church
Too many haters, too slow to tire
These clothes are just covering a heart that’s on fire
And if you want to challenge us then first check the fruit
And hear the resounding voice of thousands of youth inspired

29 Train

Written by: D.Plumb, K.McGlade, J.Morson, P.Laryea

Chorus:
Oh Ohhhh all aboard the 2-9 Train
Make yourselves comfortable we’re going a long way

The next stop is Navigator-Ville
Follow the signs and look to the hills
Have a nice day!

Navigator:
Ladies and gentlemen, may I please have your attention
You are now entering Navigator-Ville so I proceed to mention
Please make yourself welcome, don’t worry there’s no doubt
You will enjoy your stay in a hotel, cos the houses are sold out
The whole town is on a firm foundation so we’re never blown down
But I must warn all fools you’re never locked up you just get thrown out.
The mayor is a Godly man, he makes a Godly stand
And the residents are healthy and wealthy cos they live by a Godly plan
And I’m sure you love the phat track that the 29 train runs on
There’s many hills in Navigator-Ville that’s where the Lord’s help comes from
You might want to eat cos here fried chicken’s good for you
All the food contains ‘G’ numbers to help you do what’s good to do
And the light shines so bright that the darkness can’t be seen
Men and women respect each other; we stick to God’s word like plasticine
When you leave please, don’t forget to take a present
A map labelled Jesus you follow Him He’ll take you straight to heaven.
Chorus

The next stop is Dangerous-Ville
Watch your back, but other than that
Have a nice stay

Phonetix:
This rap game will never be the same again
Pull into my station, it’s all change
Engage your mind try to understand mine,
I induce the divine daily so I can flip these rugged rhymes
In dangerous-Ville you can walk the rugged streets
There’s a permanent sound system playing permanent rugged beats
At every corner you turn there’s a cypher in the streets
Rugged emcees spitting truth over those rugged beats
But all these rugged emcees never battle or have beef
Their skills alone are rugged enough to never need the reef
From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same,
The rugged streets are aflame. With the glory of Gods name
There’s no hunger or thirst cause food and drink don’t cost
It’s all free but it’s rugged, cause the quality is tiptop
There’s no maps but no-one ever gets lost
Cause at the heart of dangerous-Ville is a vision of the rugged cross.

Chorus

The next stop is Mr Princeville,
Touch the track and you might get killed, have a nice day.

Mr Prince
Party People, I must now proceed to mention
[Kofi]: What kind of announcement was that?
Kofi, would you please sit down pay attention
That was a warning that you could ignore it if you like
That would be fatal like ignoring the message of the Cross and the Christ
It be like picking a fight with a bruiser with a bat and a knife
Or booking a flight with Taliban airways, the flight of your life
[Kofi]: I’m getting off this train!
No! In Prince-Ville you can be safe and that’s for sure
It’s so secure the houses don’t need locks on their doors
They’re no tears, no war no hunger and no one thirsts for more
No tax rises cause there’s no need for police to enforce the law.
There’s no credit here,
If your accounts empty, you know for sure you’re broke
But its ok cause there’s true love here you can share with most folks
There’s no weed smoke, you won’t get stressed so there’s no need to toke
Fathers stick around, no single mums struggling to cope
There’s no criminal system, just a justice system that works
You should check the basic instructions before leaving earth

Chorus

The next stop is McGladius-Ville
Footwork to windmill
Have a nice day

McGladius
Well first of all mcgladius has been elected president
First motion passed, material status is irrelevant
To whether you get respect or greater opportunity
The residents clubbed together and we made poverty history
Made in His image, so everyone’s considered equal
There are no celebrities, just inspirational people
Eye contact is natural and loneliness is rare
And for some strange reason it’s not rude to stare
Love is an action and not just a sexual feeling
People think before they speak and so words bring healing
The class system is dead and the government encouraged this?
Life began to make sense when people became the purpose
If you think this is ‘free-love’, then you don’t quite get this
The words ‘free’ and ‘love’ cant co-exist in the same sentence
Love sacrifices, commits, binds itself to another
Christ laid down His life; this is the model the residents follow

Chorus

Roll Call

Written by: D.Plumb, K.McGlade, J.Morson, P.Laryea

Chorus:
If you wanna roll with us, we rep for Jesus
Come sing with us Underdodgz in town baby

Mr Prince:
Hey! What you waiting for
Propping up them walls man you best get up on the floor
Yep! We be dropping them jaws, dropping them raw drum beats
You never heard this before.

Navigator:
ARE YOU READY! I’m not sure they are bro
29 original like pizza from Chicago
British vintage warplanes we spit fire
Limit Underdogz to the sky we hit higher

McGladius:
Rhythm and poetry that’s driven by purpose
Jabbing your conscious, so I hit when I word this
See inner-monologue…. transfer to flows
See sporadic-thought…. transposed to prose

Phonetix:
Yeah it’s all gonna change now we in the building
Make the blind see and the numb get feeling
See hip-hops gone way too far
But I’m the type to hack it down and leave it bleeding

Chorus

Navigator:
Heavy rap veterans grace your town again
It’s the regiment here to rescue drowning friends
Fifth column plan, complex like office blocks
Adversity reared its ugly head we chopped it off

McGladius:
Truth be told we’re not concerned with the charts
Our concern is the headphones of kids walking through parks
Pluck the truth from the skies, rolling over their heads
Chew it up in our minds; see hearts and intellect fed
My street cred concerns me when my spirits unfocussed
When I’m in tune with my purpose, distracting me is hopeless
But hope is what I aim to bring, each time that I rhyme
As you walk the road of life, I hope you take heed of the signs

Navigator:
Expose the Gospel, give them a taste
Impact them like they got hit in the face
Bring the power of God’s love to the wickedest place
Help them escape death row like that show Prison Break

Mr Prince:
We spit bullets on bars, we spit bullets so hard
You might probably find our bullets on mars
We don’t rap for the bling or the cars,
Just wanna introduce you to the real superstar

Chorus

Phonetix:
We’re not gonna pussyfoot around
Underdogz is here to take over your town
We’re rolling strong handing out the mandate
We’ve been real busy homes make no mistake

Navigator:
Rip mics on the regular, shouting the cross
We counted the cost, now we’re out for the lost
We keep moving despite all odds,
I’m like a FROG cos I Fully Rely On God. (Get it?)

Mr. Prince:
Do you really wanna step to us?
Talking that filth, making that fuss
I gotta say, I find this thing quite odd
Why you wanna go to war with a man of God?

Chorus

McGladius:
Ordinary guys, wearing ordinary clothes
Saw a culture in decline, took the challenge and we rose
Luther King Jnr average man, unusual heart
Forest fires get start with the smallest of sparks

Phonetix:
I’m pleading with my Jesus not to be hesitant
And pour it his glory on UK residents
We’re praying lord have mercy on the government
May they bow down to you and not the US President.

Mr Prince
Yep! I know you know who this is
Yo it’s those 29 soldiers who be banging those hits
If rap was poker
Were taking all of your chips
Make you retire the mic man your crew be calling’ it quits

Phonetix
We raising our hands and making a stand
For every underdog all across this land
If you want to pledge allegiance raise your right hand
And call on the name of Jesus the God man

Chorus

This Little Gangsta

Written by: D.Plumb, P.Laryea

Chorus:
This little gangsta went to spark it
This little gangsta got blown
This little gangsta had mad beef
This little gangsta got a gun
These little gangsta went ‘bang bang bang’
Bleeding all the way home

Phonetix:
I’m not gangsta, and I don’t wanna be or need to be
I spit rhymes both consciously and spiritually
I’m Teddy Gristle man, you won’t see a change in me
On stage or on route what you get is what you see
I’m sick of hearing it sick seeing it sick of people feeling it
Sick of young 'uns looking up to it
I’m sick of dealing with it sick, of people associating me with it
When all I stand for wants to expose and battle it
Yeah I know some of them rappers have got sick flows
And sick shows, sick rims on benzos and six figure bling clothes
Sick beats and sick ho’s in videos cause sick minds and cash money inflate egos
I’ll destroy it with my mic contradict it with my life
Stay true to what’s real if I die in the fight
Spit truth to peeps, ballers and G’s, cause sick crews rule everything around me S.C.R.E.A.M

Chorus

Mr Prince
Open your eyes and you’ll find
Deep inside these a side
That’s designed to reflect the divine
Eject inspect and you’ll find
That the truth of these rhymes
Are designed to infect and incline
Let me tell you what you’ll hear about me
I don’t hustle on the grind like a P.I.M.P
Don’t creep like TLC catching HIV
If you’re looking for a soldier then don’t call me
I’m sold out for making music for change
Not cash money but the kinda change won’t leave you the same
The kinda change that will keep kids from grabbing the nine
Joining the life of villain in the pen serving up time
I’m writing rhymes for all those cats on road
Claiming “street life’s” the only life they know
On the hustle trying to make up the doe
But what good is it to gain the whole world if you loose your soul

Chorus

Don’t Shake It (Featuring Jahaziel)

Written by: D.Plumb, J.Morson, J. Elliot.

Phonetix:
Now let me just get some things real clear
I didn’t come here to judge the rear of the year
So stop shaking that thing up in my face
I aint interested plus I think it’s a disgrace how,
MTV indoctrinates youth culture
Into thinking girls are the prey and men are the vultures
Sex was never meant to perverted but somehow we brought dirt
and the pure got converted
And some of you might think I’m over reacting
Saying the videos aren’t real and the girls are only acting
And the rap kings look good in fresh sneaks and lids
But they’re no better than Gary Glitter cause they fiddle with kids.

Chorus:
Nah, tek no interest in how you can shake it
Me no even wan fi see you get naked
You nah go' find me windin' in the club
But you'll find me in the church singing 'Oh the blood'.

I’m not here just so you can see me shake it
There’s no way you’re gonna see me get naked
You won’t find me windin’ in the club
But you’ll find me in the church singing, ‘Oh the blood’.

Navigator
Only two reasons you find Navigator in the club
Either I’m there to share Jesus or DJ’s blazing my dub
I’m not up for booty shaking on the rug
I got respect for ladies, don’t believe I’m hating on you love
Are you sure that it’s not an STI you ask for
Cos you’re practically having sex on the dance floor
Winding and grinding, show respect for yourself
End up in the chemist, next day having to check on your health
And while you’re shaking your butt in that shady dark room
Find some seedy cat tryna get you in the bathroom
I ask you to watch I advise you to think
Before some dude put a horse tranquilizer in your drink

Chorus

Jahaziel: Verse

Short Stories (Featuring Rhoda)

Written by: D.Plumb, K.McGlade, J.Morson

CHORUS
When you lay your head tonight is anybody singing you a lullaby
Is anyone saying, ‘it will be all right’, alone in your bed tonight
No doubt in this life, we’re living quite a long way from paradise
Sometimes it just aint right, alone in your head tonight.

Navigator:
Experiences in your childhood that seem to stick with you
You wish to, wipe from your brain like a stain with a tissue
But they infect, you with a scar and effect who you are
Like Louise stumbling home after getting wrecked at the bar
She’s a single white female, addicted to retail
‘Cause those clothes hold her close when she’s alone feeling she’s failed
She’s got friends, a good job and a brand new Fiesta
She’s getting ready to buy a flat, she’s a darn good investor
But there’s a pain in her heart and she’s desperate for meaning
So she drowns the sound in pints till she’s left with no feeling
In the morning she awakes to regrets with no healing,
It seems there’s no options even death seems appealing
There’s a man on the street shouting out “Jesus, He cares”
Louise passes by with her Ipod speakers in ears
If only her parents weren’t so busy when she was younger
They would have known her older cousin took her virginity from her.
Chorus

Phonetix:
This kid never started out bad it was all good
10 years top of the class doing all that he should
Loving parents caring for him and treating him well
No one ever thought he’d be the type of kid who’d rebel
But somehow he fell through and when he hit 16
He’s quit his football team so he can roll with his crew
His parents disappointed said they didn’t know him no more
And on more than one occasion they kicked him out of their door
Now he’s sporting Timb boots, and Avirex track suits
Feeling G’d up, he’s just completed the game bullet-proof
He’s holding guns now for his crew, planning them armed raids
And he can hear his dad shouting like he always does these days,
His moms screaming as well, telling him he’s going to hell
He can feel his anger rising like the wind in a sail
He feels cold as the blood rushes to the top of his head
He pulls his gun……….and now his parents are dead.

Chorus

McGladius:
He sits in front of the screen, multiple clicks lead him astray
Stumbles upon morbid pages, his conscience loses its way
Into an underworld of hidden evil with unknowable depths
Innocent smile of a child, that’s defiled and steals breath
Choice has left him, something else moves from within
Eyes the lamp of the body, and darkness is flooding in
Takes a walk in the street to try and clear his head
Suddenly there’s a greed, for this dark need, to be fed
He sees an open door, she sits playing with her toys
Unspeakable malice; the child no longer makes a noise
Dead silence. It’s as if he’s waking up from a terrible dream
Blood trickles from his fingers he knows this moment is real
He didn’t cease the moment. So the moment seized him.
Opened himself for just a moment, and evil fenced him in
No previous record. No suspicion. No past conviction.
A normal man lies awake, facing 100 years of prison

Chorus

Higher

Written by: D.Plumb, K.McGlade, J.Morson, P.Laryea

Chorus:

Every rap song we hear is sex, money or beef
Terrorism, crooked religion threatens the streets
It’s not safe for your kids they get followed by freaks
So Lord won’t you take me higher?

Mr Prince:
Up, up, up and away, that’s where I wanna be
Not impressed by the things that this world has to offer me
Getting stressed by the things that this world has to offer me
Won’t invest in the things that this world has to offer me
Lately I’ve been getting frustrated waiting for the right moment
To open my mouth speak my mind
I don’t want to be here to too much longer so I’m praying for the day
When you’ll crack the sky

Navigator:
So I go down into the valley into the midst of the fire
Surrounded by cheats, gossips, killers and liars
Situation is dire, in this fatherless generation
Where feminists insist we don’t need fathers to raise them
They’re mistaken, everything right seems inverted to wrong
Like the net where you can visit all things perverted.com
Turn the media on and watch them deceive our youth
We’re needing You but like Oasis people don’t believe the truth

Chorus

Navigator:
Lord on the mountaintop where I meet with you
Where I speak with you and everything is clean and true
In your presence the colour of my dreams is the deepest blue
Where I get strength for the daily battle that I’m released into

McGladius:
The window of hope is shattered and were walking in its shards
Dieing for truth is one thing, living for truth hard
We raise a generation and prep them to fail
Our hearts need hands so that we can read the Braille
We’re caught in the midst of a cosmic game of monopoly
Where God owns the deeds and evil’s squatting on His property
Do we run from reality to lies? “That’s denial”
A generation of deaf men listen for the tick of the sundial

Navigator:
So take me higher, cos this world’s in a scandalous pit
We’re inadequate, we need you to come in and handle it
Everyone likes to blame you and ask, what’s going on
But no one really wants to wait for the response, Come on!

Chorus

Mr Prince:
We’re speaking out with our rhymes
With truth engaging your mind
To help you see that the times short we got
We need to figure out how
We need the answers right now
The time is ticking take a look at the clock, Take me higher!
Chorus

Money

Written by: J.Morson, D.Plumb, K.McGlade, P.Laryea

Chorus:

We don’t love it we know what it’s worth
We know that we need it to live on this earth
Money! To some it’s a curse!
Money, Money, Money!

Navigator:
To say that we got in this for cash or the money
Is like slapping your mummy or acting the dummy
Its actually funny, evil rappers are fronting
While we stay true and are lacking the funding
But that’ll soon change when cats cease to be cheap
Say they support us but want our CD for free
I ain’t chasing a Mercedes Benz in my street
But I’m not here to work hard just to make ends meet
God gave me a skill to use for His willing
I use my skill to do His will while making a living
I hope to make a killing, cos I refuse to be known
As the Christian whose family has no food or home
Money doesn’t change people, if you’re already bad
It exposes the bad nature you already had
So I stay focussed cos money’s a secondary plan
Cos my wealth is stored up by my heavenly Dad!

Chorus

Phonetix:
It’s funny what money can get you these days
In various places and various ways
Just dream of a dream and your money can pay
To make it come true in a matter of days
(If you go down to the shops today you better go in disguise)
Just swing in the revolving doors of the mall
And you’ll find a whole heap of things to enthral you
Find a whole heap of people to adore you
As long as you buy the things they recommend you
Don’t sweat it you don’t need to get it because what they call credit is actually debit
I’m sick of the lies that they tell through truth that they edit
It’s deadly like lead if you eat it (you get it?)
Now money is not what’s evil, it’s the love of it, those who covet it,
We need to be careful people,
Stack that cash but don’t fall in love with it

Chorus

McGladius
Buy this diet; you’ll become slim and relevant
‘Buy It’, cos presently you look like an elephant
Excellent, here, sign the dotted line
We also sell dancing weasels for 5.99 (hmmm)
Pick up the phone [“you’ve won a free cruise”]
Call an 0891, sit in 3 hours of queues
It’s up to you, just do as you choose
Who really decides, is it them or is it you
Hidden charges, cos nothings for free
Like using the link and being charged a fee
Billboards scream [‘Hey look at me”]
E-mail twenty friends, and the I-Pod is free
[You’ve won a seven-day break in Niagara]
But first sign up for a years supply of Viagra
You slam down the phone forget that they called ya
Then walk to the shop, and pay to drink water?

Chorus

Mr Prince
Get money, get cash get cars
Get you anything in the clubs in the bars
Get wong, get bills get cheddar
Get enough of it and your life ’ill get better
Get a fast car with those 20 inch rims
Plush leather seats, TV all the trims
Get a phat crib with and out door pool
Can’t really swim but it does look cool
Get greedy in various ways
Do any old job just be sure to get paid
Sell drugs, sell your body get laid
Who was the idiot said that crime don’t pay?
Get rich quick gotta get on the hustle
Take blood money, be a drug dealers muscle
Get into a fight, get shot with a gun
Get arrested by the 5-O isn’t this fun!
Problem with get is that when the days through
You aint got nothing but the cash has got you
If get plus cash is your whole life’s goal
You can have the whole world all it’ll cost is your soul

Reckless Love (Featuring Hope)

Written by: D.Plumb, J.Morson

Navigator
Whoa, Lord let me stop and think
Meditating on the love that you got me in
Imagining your face scarred beyond belief
Yet imagining your beauty like a coral reef
You’re the chief, I’m loving you with all I am
You’re the Man minus you it’s just a fallen sham
No more half-living, half-giving
Reckless the state my heart is in
Even if this world can’t see the truth
It’s me and you, let ‘em know I believe in you
Lord I dedicate my life just to pleasing you
Make your presence like a fragrance so I breathe in you
And I never even knew that I had in me
To love you like a painter loves a gallery
So if I make you proud keep your hand on me
Eternally in the presence of your majesty.

Chorus
Majesty, my will must grow weaker
Majesty, my heart must grow stronger
To love you more than I ever have before
Lord I give my life to reckless love.

Phonetix:
It’s strange to think of where my life was at
I was trying to take the pain of this world on my back
I was trying to take the strain of this world on my back
I was nearly lost but Lord you brought me back
Now I’m giving everything I have over to worship
Bowing to the one with the rights to the kingship
There’s no-where I can go alone cause you are the flagship
Against the odds you took my life and you blessed it
Bled and died you did provide the way to guide me from my pride unto your side
Kept me live and multiplied the truth inside to bridge the gap of my divide
There’s nothing without you, you hold the dominion
Your pre-eminence is the truth of your kingdom
The giver of vision I’ve made my petition
My love will be reckless beyond definition

Chorus

Bridge:
Ever since the day you set me free
Released me from my insecurities
Lord I give my life, Lord I give my life to reckless love.

Who Am I? Part 2

Written by: D.Plumb

The first and the last, beginning and forever,
My every endeavour to speak your beauty is cheap like fake leather
God of the weather, inventor creator master physician chemical biological maker
You are greater than any other, indescribable even with the whole dictionary uttered
Approach you? I’m face down in the gutter prostrate before the living God cause you’re so great
Able to demonstrate owner of all real estate king who made the heavens shake (but)
Still you chose to come and humble yourself, invested your wealth in a min-child of limited health
Such was your love that you gave of yourself
Glorified King crucified for sinners like myself.

Saviour (Featuring Tim Hughes)

Written by: D.Plumb, K.McGlade, J.Morson, P.Laryea, T.Hughes

McGladius:
I wait in the silence to hear your voice, just to hear your call
And I’ll catch the intonation of each syllable as it falls
No one can replace it. My words cannot attain it.
Your love is boundless, without condition; I fumble for words to explain it?
Warm me with your love. Thaw my unbelief.
Lift from me from the floor place me back upon my feet
You renew my strength, so I can walk and not faint
My hopes is in you, you have my heart and my faith

Phonetix:
Aahh, (man) where would I be without you?
My skin crawls at the very thought of a world without you
To speak truly without you I would not survive the distance
You’re the be all and the end all of my whole existence
But for now I’ll focus on the time on earth we share
And when the silence falls shhhh… you’re there
Still waiting to care for any load I have to bear
So in the silence of these moments my heart whispers these prayers…

Chorus:
When hope is lost, I’ll call you Saviour
When pain surrounds, I’ll call you healer
When silence falls you’ll be the song within my heart.

Navigator:
Insecurity had me going insane I’ve never been so lame
Your voice to me was calming like the rain on a windowpane
Not lusting or a flirt, never putting others first
What a brother didn’t deserve you covered with your loving words
You reached out and embraced me, without you I’m flaky
Now I’m a new man because your love completely re-made me
Ever will you be the song of my heart, regardless
Cause you were the light of life that got sparked in my darkness.

Mr Prince:
In spite of all my failures and mistakes my shame and disgrace
You took my life and covered it with grace
I know that all my steps are ordered by you
And so I step with confidence because your love is true
I know with you I’m never left alone
If in the valley or on the hilltop my hearts your throne
I dedicate my life to you, its not my own
I’m looking forward to the day when you will take me home.

Chorus
