29 Win UMA Award
According to the Urban Music Awards newsletter, The 29th Chapter won the award for 'Best Gospel Act'. However, we didn't get to receive it on the night due to the event being cut short after an incident at the show. On Saturday 15th November, we all attended the prestigious awards show at the Indig02 in London. We were given VIP passes, and found ourselves amongst a hub of celebrities. However, it all changed a few hours later when a brawl broke out. We quickly found ourselves ducking under tables and escaping through the back doors as wine bottles were smashed and thrown through the air.
Amidst a flurry of panic and confusion all of our party were able to escape safely and no one was injured. Although we did hear later, that a few people were injured and someone was apparently stabbed. We thank God for His covering and protection. We still do not know what exactly happened or why it happened but it reminded us again of why we need to be a shining light in an industry that is full of darkness.
